Chiefs practice gets chippy after George Karlaftis levels Kadarius Toney

The Kansas City Chiefs are seeking their third consecutive Super Bowl, a feat that has never been accomplished.

Training camp is the first step in reaching that goal, and in the dog days of summer, tempers are certain to flare, not just in Kansas City but in every camp across the league.

While working in team drills in what appeared to be a scrimmage, Patrick Mahomes connected on a short pass to Kadarius Toney, who was then hit hard by George Karlaftis. This prompted Toney to pop up and whip the ball at Karlaftis’ back.

Both sides then exchanged words, in particular star tight end Travis Kelce got in the face of Karlaftis following the play.

Andy Reid recently said they are working on different ways to get Toney involved outside of receiver. Karlaftis is coming off a tremendous 10.5 sack season.
