Kadarius Toney tasted grass — and Travis Kelce didn’t like it.

Things got chippy at Chiefs training camp Wednesday when defensive end George Karlaftis knocked Toney to the ground after a play, arguably a second late, and Kelce later bumped Karlaftis and shoved him, as seen in a video posted by KC Sports Network .

It appears Karlaftis went too far with his bump of Toney since the video showcases other defenders mostly taking a hands-off approach on the play.

Karlaftis instead lowers his shoulder right into Toney, which sent the ex-Giant flying to the ground.

Toney, perhaps trying to add to his already growing position list that now includes running back , immediately got off the ground and fired the ball at Karlaftis with his back turned.

It appears the ball skimmed the former first-round pick.

As Karlaftis walked back toward the middle of the field, Kelce came running from behind the play and bumped the Purdue product with his right shoulder before getting in his face.

Kelce quickly shoved Karlaftis, who kept walking as other defenders stood up for him.

A bigger fracas did not break out, and the back-to-back champs resumed with their practice.

The whole scene seemed nothing more than a minor quarrel among teammates, which is known to happen under the hot sun during training camp.

Toney, Kelce and Karlaftis have much-bigger things to worry about then one late hit, with the Chiefs going for the first three-peat in NFL history and Toney potentially fighting for a roster spot.

The former first-round pick has not impressed since being obtained from the Giants during the 2022 season, and has to prove his worth this summer.

He has served as a running back at times during camp.

“I think that’s one of [Toney’s] strengths, is being able to move him around. He had some positive snaps for us at running back last year,” head coach Andy Reid said, per fox4kc.com .

“I think he enjoys doing that. He’s pretty multifaceted there, with what he can do and we’re gonna try to utilize it to the best of his abilities.

Kelce, meanwhile, spoke this offseason with Cowboys legend and Hall of Famer Michael Irvin about what advice he would offer now that the Chiefs are aiming to become the first back-to-back-to-back champions.
