The Kansas City Chiefs have their first-round draft pick back on the practice fields in St. Joseph, Missouri after he missed several practice sessions with an illness .

Rookie WR Xavier Worthy was back on the field after missing the last three practice sessions as he battled strep throat. The Chiefs had to isolate Worthy from the rest of the team to avoid an outbreak of the illness in the close quarters at Missouri Western State University during training camp.

Worthy participated in Day 1 on Sunday ( as evidenced by his highlight-reel play ), but missed practice sessions on Monday - Wednesday. He's now back on the field for the first padded practice of the year, warming up and dancing a little with his teammates as practice gets underway.

We'll see how much Worthy participates throughout practice on Friday. It stands to reason that he could be limited, but I'd actually expect him to be a full participant if he's out there.

As for other injured/absent players, there have been no changes to the injury lists. The team has six players on those lists as things currently stand. One player injured during practice on Wednesday is back on the field.

Nazeeh Johnson is back after leaving practice early with a knee injury on Wednesday. As I reported shortly after Wednesday's practice , that decision was simply precautionary after Johnson landed funny on his surgically repaired knee during a play in practice.

As for the other player injured during Wednesday's practice session, WR Justin Watson was spotted walking down the hill without a helmet and pads. He's dealing with a foot injury and is expected to miss a few practice sessions as he recovers . It's a good sign that he's walking and doesn't seem to be in too much discomfort.
