PARIS (KNWA/KFTA) — Former Razorback sprinter Hunter Woodhall struck gold on Friday evening in Paris taking the top spot in the men’s 400m T62 final at the Paralympic Games.

It was the former Razorback’s first gold medal in Paralympics and fourth overall, winning a bronze in Tokyo and a silver and bronze in Rio.

After the race, Woodhall ran to embrace his wife, Tara Davis-Woodhall, who won gold in the long jump in the Olympics in August.

The Olympics described it as a “picture-perfect moment that fully captured the magic of Paris 2024 for Team USA’s track and field power couple.”

In addition to the gold medal, Woodhall added to his medal total on Friday with a bronze medal as a member of the 4 x 100-meter universal relay team.

The Paralympic Games run through September 8 on the networks of NBC.
