New Assistant Principal Named At Cos Cob School In Greenwich
Greenwich Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones announced the appointment of Lauren Bird as assistant principal at Cos Cob School in Greenwich, effective immediately. Bird, who most recently served as assistant principal in Wilton, will assist Cos Cob School Principal Kerry Gavin, supporting the entire Cos Cob community and aiding in the development and achievement of school goals and objectives while advocating on behalf of all students, Jones said.
College student to challenge state assemblyman
MAHOPAC – Zack Couzens hopes to become one of the youngest members of the New York State Legislature next January 1. The 21-year-old resident of Mahopac, an Eagle Scout and senior at Boston College, is challenging Republican 94th District State Assemblyman Matt Slater this fall to represent constituents in five of Putnam’s six towns—Carmel, Kent, Patterson, Putnam Valley and Southeast in addition to the Village of Brewster and the towns of Somers and Yorktown in Westchester.
Mahopac-Carmel Chamber Awards Scholarships
MAHOPAC, N.Y,. - Local students Samantha Cardinali, Ava Florez, Faith Maria Mahoskey, Kayla Merrill, Matthew Risley, Samantha Rosaforte, Cassidy Ryan, and Cassandra Sciarra gathered at Four Brothers restaurant in Mahopac to receive $500 scholarships from the Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce last month.
