SALT LAKE CITY — The Fourth of July is a day when the streets are filled with the scent of an all-American barbecue and the Utah night sky is painted a blanket of color and smoke from the customary display of fireworks. Utah’s plan to retain Sundance Film Festival would split it between 2 cities
SALT LAKE CITY — It appears that Utah’s bid to retain the Sundance Film Festival beyond 2026 will focus on splitting it between its current home and its first one. Few details about Utah’s bid have been made available since the Utah Film Commission announced Utah had filed a request for proposal response to the Sundance Institute in May. The commission confirmed that it submitted a request-for-proposals response — to Sundance’s questions about the bid — on June 20, but it declined to offer many details about what’s in the request.
Wildlife Center of Salt Lake City raising money for expansion
SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — When the new Wildlife Center of Salt Lake City opened in January, it was a dream come true for the employees and volunteers who staff the facility. The center takes in wild animals that have been hurt, displaced or need medical care. Britnee Chenty said the new center has one goal in mind: “They go back into the wild, that’s our number one priority. It is to get these guys back out where they are supposed to be."
