    Le Mars hosting free concert event in September

    LE MARS, Iowa ( KCAU ) — A family-friendly free live concert with three bands, food trucks, and a beverage garden is coming to Le Mars.

    According to a release, Engage Le Mars will be holding the Bash Live Concert at the Olson on Saturday, September 21, from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Olson Cultural Event Center.

    The release states the event received $7,500 from the Hotel/Motel tax for this event.

    “Since we started, our entire event has been funded by sponsors, grants, and donations for live music in Le Mars,” President of Engage Le Mars Mitch Christoffel said. “We are very excited to be awarded these City tax funds as they will help us tremendously with our event.”

    The release noted that guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the live music on the green space at the event center.

    Fall-Shredtastic returns to Sioux City

    Bands featured at this year’s event include the Jammers from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Birdchild from 6 to 8 p.m., and Tyler Richton and the High Bank Boys from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

    Several food vendors will be available with a variety of options to choose from, including pizza, kettle corn, snow cones, burgers, and more. The Drink Garden will be organized by the Knights of Columbus.
