University of Iowa students create website to safely buy and resell sports tickets

DES MOINES, Iowa (WHO) — A group of University of Iowa Students created a website called SeatStock that lets students buy and resell tickets without the risk of getting scammed.

Josh Cohen, the CEO of SeatStock and a University of Iowa Student, said that SeatStock is a secure option for students because it guarantees that buyers get a ticket or their money back.

“So the biggest functionality that’s different in our site and like Facebook, Snapchat is we have a buyer guarantee. So when you buy a ticket on our platform, we guarantee that you get the ticket. On the off chance, you know, you don’t get the ticket, we fully refund you, you know, no questions asked. So it’s a secure website to buy tickets on, selling on as well” Cohen said.

SeatStock is currently just for University of Iowa students, however, Cohen and the SeatStock team plan to expand to the entire Big 10 conference by the end of the semester.
