    Lincoln rolls to Class ‘A’ baseball title

    SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Lincoln entered the Class ‘A’ baseball state tournament with 15 straight wins and continued its hot streak with 8-0 and 10-4 wins in the quarterfinals and semifinals.

    Then in the championship game, the Patriots rolled past top-seeded Harrisburg 7-0.

    The Pats plated five runs in the second inning to take control of the contest. After multiple infield hits, bats broke through with RBI hits from Kooper Perry and Chase DuBois.

    And on the mound, Kasen Christiansen shut down the Tiger lineup pitched a complete game shutout, yielding just three baserunners and one hit.

    Lincoln wins the Class ‘A’ State Championship

    “It’s definitely emotional,” Christiansen said. “We worked hard every practice. We knew this is our moment, and we just won baby, let’s go.”

    This marks the Patriots’ third title since 2014 and second and the last three seasons.
