Elk Point-Jefferson wins class ‘B’ state title

SALEM, S.D. (KELO) — The Elk Point-Jefferson legion baseball team claimed a 5-2 win over Parkston on Tuesday, to win the class ‘B’ legion baseball state tournament.

Post 134 capped off a perfect 5-0 tournament with the win, including their second victory over Parkston.

Keaton Gale was named the top hitter and tournament MVP.

Elk Point-Jefferson outscored their opponents 39-22 in the five wins.

EPJ finished the year with a 26-6 record.
