The N.C. Highway Patrol has confirmed four fatalities in a fiery wreck at mile marker 113 on Interstate 95 Wednesday afternoon. The wreck involved two tractor trailers and three passenger cars, according to 1st Sgt. D.B. Finch.

The wreck occurred between the Rock Ridge and Kenly exits, about 3 miles from the N.C. 42 exit. The northbound lane of I-95 is closed to Kenly. Finch said it will probably remained closed for at least two more hours.

The southbound lane is open.
