A dinner on Friday, Sep. 13, from 6-9 p,m., to benefit United Way of Kent County will feature psychic medium Andréa and a special three-course locally sourced meal prepared by celebrity chef Robbie Jester, with wine pairings from Crow Vineyard.

“That’s the Spirit” will be held at the historic Kitty Knight House in Georgetown, which was saved from destruction by Knight during the War of 1812. According to the Haunted Bar Guide, the ghost of Kitty Knight may continue to roam the building — opening and closing doors and rocking in her favorite chair. Some have felt her presence and have caught a glimpse of her shadowy figure.

Readings will be conducted by Andréa, an expert in connecting with the dead and other spirits. She will visit tables during dinner to answer questions. After dinner the show begins with Andréa sharing messages from deceased loved ones with members of the audience. Andréa will visit each room of the restaurant to be sure all messages are given.

A basket of spirits will be raffled off. It will include an overnight stay at the Kitty Knight House, a personal reading with Andréa and other essential “spirit” items.

Tickets will be limited to 100 guests and may be purchased at www.unitedwayofkentcounty.org.

Donations to United Way of Kent County are very much needed and may be made at any time via the website: unitedwayofkentcounty.org or by mail to United Way of Kent County, P.O. Box 594, Chestertown, MD, 21620. For questions, call Amy Meade, executive director, at 410-778-195.
