    Oklahoma City firefighter arrested, placed on leave amid indecent exposure investigation

    EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) – The Oklahoma City Fire Department confirms a firefighter has been arrested in connection with a police investigation.

    Battalion Chief Scott Douglas says Zach Brown, was arrested and charged with two counts of Lewd or Indecent Proposal.

    Previously, Edmond Police had asked for the public’s help in identifying a man regarding an indecent exposure incident involving a school bus. According to Edmond PD, the man was driving a black Nissan Titan truck with a photo of the suspect.

    Douglas says Brown has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the police investigation.

    “As per department policy, the OKCFD cannot offer additional details or comments until the investigation is complete.   The department is committed to upholding the highest standards of conduct and will take appropriate actions based on the findings of the investigation.

    It is always a top priority for the Oklahoma City Fire Department to ensure the safety and well-being of our community and staff.  We appreciate the public’s understanding and patience as we work through this matter. Further information will be released as it becomes available.”

    The OKC Firefighters Union released the following statement:

    “The OKC Firefighters Association is aware of the arrest and possible charges in connection to Firefighter Zach Brown. While we wholeheartedly condemn any actions in relation to these actions, we will respect the legal process and its proceedings. The Oklahoma City Fire Department will place Mr. Brown on administrative leave as per policy.  We wish to offer our condolences to those affected and hope for a speedy resolution to this issue. “

    Zachary Brown was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
