On Thursday, Hawaii residents, longstanding philanthropists and others joined Hawaii Pacific Health in celebrating the new construction project.

Officials said the new 700,000 square feet campus will “allow HPH to adjust to the changing needs of patients, health care providers and growing communities.”

“We are honored to support this project to build an incredible healthcare campus of the future. Together, we are working in the spirit of Aloha to ensure everyone gets the highest quality care, where and when they need it,” expressed Marc and Lynn Benioff.

The new facility will feature a 1,600-stall parking building, 30 electric vehicle charging stations, a state-of-the-art conference center, a rooftop garden, and an employee fitness center.

Reports said Straub Benioff will collaborate with Hilo Benioff Medical Center further to serve the state of Hawaii with specialized patient care. Straub Benioff will also work with UCSF Health in San Francisco.

As a physician who worked in emergency rooms in rural areas on Hawai‘i Island, I understand the importance of connections like the ones being enhanced between medical experts in Hilo, Honolulu and San Francisco. This redevelopment project expands access and resources that are vital to our state. Mahalo to the Benioff ʻohana for their commitment to the future of health care in Hawai‘i.

    Governor Josh Green, M.D.

The project is slated to be completed by 2026. For more information on the project, visit HPH’s website.
