BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) - Testimony on day 12 of the Chad Daybell trial started with funeral director Steven Shultz from Springville, Utah.

He is a former neighbor and friend of Chad Daybell that worked with him at a Springfield cemetery.

Shultz was also from the funeral home that took Tammy’s Daybell's body to prepare it for burial.

He said Chad told him he wanted the funeral as soon as possible, in fact requesting it to be held the next day.

Tammy's funeral was two days after her death.

Shultz said despite the fact he and Chad were friends, he had some concerns about Tammy’s death.

“In that conversation, we were both talking about how quickly things were doing it. How quickly things were happening. We both felt there was a feeling of being rushed through this whole process. And I actually turned to Jason and I said that do you think he killed her?” Shultz said. “Was that based on the red flags that you were feeling?,” asked Wixom. “It was based on the red flags,” said Shultz.

Next on the stand was Ron Arnold, a neighbor and friend of the Daybell family. He is also a realtor.

Arnold says Chad asked about putting a second home on his property for when Lori Vallow-Daybell got out of prison.

Arnold asked Chad about the missing kids, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan. "Chad looked me straight in the eye and told me that they were okay and when everything came out, everything was going to be just fine."

The court ended for the day at noon.  They will be back in the courtroom on Monday. There will be no court on Tuesday.
