Rivard finds ‘joy’ as school superintendent
Dr. Michael Rivard expressed optimism, excitement and pride after he began his new job July 1 as superintendent of the Sartell-St. Stephen School District. Rivard, a Sartell resident, was chosen as superintendent in March of 2024 to take over from Tim Lee, who was the interim superintendent for one year. Lee had been hired to replace Jeff Ridlehoover, who resigned to become superintendent of the Rockwood School District.

Rotochopper and National AEM Event Highlights Dedication to Manufacturing
Rotochopper welcomed the AEM Manufacturing Express to their facility in St. Martin, Minnesota on Thursday, July 11th. AEM, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, is an organization that Rotochopper has proudly been a member of for 20 years. This interactive tour began in early July and aims to visit 80 AEM member companies across 20 states in the Midwest, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic regions. AEM’s initiative is to highlight the contributions of the 2.3 million men and women in the equipment manufacturing industry and to emphasize the critical role this sector plays in building, powering, and feeding the world. Rotochopper was honored to be one of the selected stops during the tour’s time in Minnesota.

Baseball: Former St. Cloud State Pitcher Ethan Lanthier was selected in the MLB Draft on Tuesday. The New York Mets selected the former Husky in the 12th round of the draft. Lanthier spent two seasons with SCSU (2022-23) and earned an All-NSIC first team nod in his first season. He pitched over 68 innings during his time for the Huskies, sporting a 3.67 ERA. Lanthier transferred up to division one baseball last season, pitching for the Kansas Jayhawks.
