3-year-old killed in early morning crash on I-55 in Jefferson County
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 3-year-old boy from Tennessee died following an early Sunday morning single-vehicle crash in Jefferson County. The crash happened at 4:40 a.m. on northbound Interstate 55 at mile marker 168, just south of Selma. The 3-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A 1-year-old boy was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital. A 23-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man were also seriously injured and were taken by ambulance to a hospital.

High Ridge Fire rescue woman, child and two men from Big River at Rockford Park
A 29-year-old South St. Louis County woman, a 12-year-old Fenton girl, an Imperial man and a House Springs man, were rescued from the Big River at Rockford Park on June 29. Crews from the High Ridge Fire Protection District were called to the park at 7:45 p.m. Fire Chief John Barton said the woman and girl were clinging to the cliff wall on the opposite side of the river from the park river access, calling for help. Barton said the two adult male bystanders jumped into the water to help, and they, too, had to be rescued by High Ridge Fire crews.
