In Virginia, Drinking in public or offering another person alcohol in a public space is prohibited. This is a class 4 Misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $250.00. Under a new law that goes into effect on July 1, this will change to a degree.WDBJ7 reports that the prohibition on drinking or offering an alcoholic beverage to someone else in public will no longer apply under the following conditions.

Health officials have suspended the license of Pierce County massage therapist Lukela Los Banos, the Washington Department of Health reported on Thursday. Los Banos allegedly placed suction cups on the back of a patient's legs on Sep. 23, 2023, and left the cups on their skin for around 40 minutes, the DOH reports. He allegedly tightened the cups three times, injuring the patient’s skin, according to the department.

State law allows marijuana dispensaries to stay open until midnight, but some jurisdictions such as Aurora shortened hours to 10 p.m. Council member Curtis Gardner has brought forth the ordinance to lengthen the hours.
