Fans Roasting Tennessee Over Ranking In EA Sports College Football 25

More details about the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game were released Friday. The top 25 power rankings were posted on X, courtesy of On3 Sports.

Fans took significant issue with one team not even being mentioned inside the top 25. The Tennessee Volunteers were left out of the rankings. The Volunteers finished 9-4 last season after beating the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Citrus Bowl 35-0.

Multiple fans called the decision to leave out Tennessee laughable. Another Tennessee fan claimed that the Volunteers would be favored in a matchup with 10 of the teams inside the rankings.

The football knowledge of the person who made the list was also questioned.

Tennessee will enter a new era in Knoxville in 2024. Joe Milton III is now in the NFL, and Nico Iamaleava is primed to start under center on Rocky Top.

Tennessee fans will be hopeful that Iamaleava can produce a similar season to 2022. The Volunteers went to the Orange Bowl and finished with 11 wins for the first time since the 2001 season.

The Volunteers open the year with the Chattanooga Mocs on Aug. 31. Kickoff will be at 12:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
