KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Coming into tonight’s matchup, Forward Madison had given up just one goal over the past six games. However, One Knox’s offense was no match for Forward Madison, scoring two goals in 66 minutes of play for the 2-0 win.

With the victory, One Knox picks up three points in the USL Jägermeister Cup and is now tied with Forward Madison in first place with nine points.

Frank Ross broke the scoreless tie in the 58th minute. Stuart Ritchie picked up the assist on the goal.

Ritchie then found the back of the net himself just eight minutes later. It marked his third goal of the season, a new career high.

“It was relief and happiness,” said Ritchie. “It was good to get us two goals up, especially against a team that hasn’t lost yet in the league this season.”
