Tennessee freshman Dean Curley earned All-America honors for the 2024 season on Friday.

    D1Baseball recognized Curley as a second-team Freshman All-American.

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound shortstop appeared in 67 games, including 66 starts, for the Vols in 2024. He recorded a .285 batting average, 12 home runs, 50 RBIs, 51 runs, 63 hits, 10 doubles, one triple, 31 walks and nine stolen bases.

Curley became the first Tennessee freshman to hit three home runs in one game on March 5 versus Kansas State.

He went to Tennessee from Northview High School in Covina, California.

Tennessee won the national championship, the Southeastern Conference Tournament and the league’s regular-season title in 2024.
