A former Tennessee Vols baseball player has a new home after recently entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Junior utility man Robin Villeneuve, who arrived at Tennessee ahead of the 2024 season after two seasons at Weatherford College, announced on Friday evening that he's transferring to Texas Tech.

Villeneuve, who is from Canada, played in 35 games for the Volunteers last season. He slashed .288/.447/.513 while hitting five home runs and driving in 22 runs.

Villeneuve has a lot of upside as a power hitter as he hit 28 home runs in 2023 at Weatherford College (which is in Texas).

Oddly enough, Tennessee opened the 2024 season against Texas Tech (a 6-2 win for the Vols). Villeneuve went 1-for-1 with a single and a walk in that matchup.
