5 songs that Morgan Wallen absolutely has to sing at his concert at Neyland Stadium

One of the biggest concerts of the year will take place later this fall when country music superstar Morgan Wallen plays Neyland Stadium, the home of the Tennessee Vols.

Wallen, a Vols fan who is from East Tennessee, announced on Monday that he's playing a concert at Neyland Stadium on September 22.

Wallen is at the height of his popularity right now and he's a beloved figure in Knoxville. It should be an incredible night on September 22 when Wallen takes the stage at Neyland.

There's no doubt that Wallen will play all of his big hits in Neyland this fall, but there are five songs, specifically, that we feel like he absolutely has to play.

(And we're not including Rocky Top on this list because we just assume that will be played at some point.)

    Tennessee Fan

This one is pretty obvious. Wallen released "Tennessee Fan" in late 2022, just a couple of months after the Vols beat Alabama for the first time since 2006. The song is about meeting a girl from Alabama and bringing her back to Rocky Top. It will almost certainly be on the setlist for Wallen and it should draw a huge response from the crowd.

    The Way I Talk

This is a throwback for longtime Wallen fans. "The Way I Talk" was Wallen's debut single way back in 2016. The song is all about a southern accent and it features a line about the Volunteers. It may not be one of Wallen's most popular songs (at least in terms of mainstream success...it only went to No. 30 on the country charts), but I gotta imagine that every fan in the stadium will be singing along if it's on the setlist.

    Sand In My Boots

I can't see Wallen leaving this song off the setlist. "Sand in my Boots" went to No. 1 in early 2022 and it's a fan favorite among Tennessee fans, thanks in part to its references to "Eastern Tennessee". The final chorus has big singalong/energy potential as evidenced by the time that Wallen sang it the night before Tennessee beat Alabama in 2022.

    Had Me By Halftime

This is another one of Wallen's early songs that wasn't a big hit. But it's all about a Tennessee football game and it has numerous references to the Vols/Neyland Stadium, including Rocky Top, G10 parking lot, No. 16 jersey (Peyton Manning, of course), and the Pride of the South Land Band. With that many Tennessee-related references, Wallen has no choice but to play it in Neyland.

    Dixieland Delight (by Alabama)

Ok, so this obviously isn't a Morgan Wallen song, but it would be awesome to see him cover it in Neyland Stadium -- especially after seeing how hyped Vols fans got when it was played after Tennessee's win against Alabama in 2022. The song is all about a "Tennessee Saturday night", but it feels like it would be quite appropriate for Wallen to play it on a Tennessee Sunday night in Knoxville.
