It's football time on PS5 as the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game has arrived.

Working very hard, I was able to play the game a day early before its launch today to scope out how Neyland Stadium, the Tennessee Volunteers and Smokey the Dog were represented in the long-awaited game. As I played the game, I updated a live blog detailing different aspects of the game and my experience with it. Here's what I found.

Neyland Stadium caught my eye first, especially how detailed the game got in its depiction of the iconic stadium. The game features the V-O-L-S lettering, the dimensions of the stadium and even the Power T run at the beginning of every home game. Although it doesn't have everything, it does capture the feeling of being at Neyland Stadium during an exciting home game.

The game also goes into great detail with the Tennessee football roster. Eighty-five players are represented with their likeness along with information including hometown, class, position, play tendency and abilities. Each player has their own statistics as well, with the game even having an overall rating for the players.

Gamers have several uniform options for the Vols in the video game, including the Dark Mode uniforms. However, the game glaringly omits the Smokey Grey, "Summitt Blue" and classic uniforms. Hopefully, the game can patch those in later.

EA Sports College Football 25 names all of the Tennessee Vols' rivals when selecting matchups. The rivals might be obvious, but can you name all five? Make your guess and then read here for the answers!

Whether you're a sports video game fan or just want to see the Vols win every time, I had a great time playing the game and seeing just how well it represents the Volunteers. The game is available now for $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

    See y'all later!
