The Tennessee Vols are hoping to flip 2025 four-star tight end Da'Saahn Brame from the Oregon Ducks and based on the latest comments from VolQuest's Austin Price, it sounds like it's not a matter of "if", but "when".

Price joined 104.5 The Zone's Ramon, Kayla, and Will on Tuesday to discuss the latest happenings with Tennessee athletics. And he suggested that the Vols should be getting some good news soon when it comes to Brame.

"If you're a member of VolQuest, then you've read the War Room (VolQuest premium message board feature) for two weeks that told you this (Brame's recruitment) was trending this way," said Price. "Getting Brame will be big for Tennessee. To have a one-two punch at tight end with (2025 Vols tight end commit) Jack Van Dorselaer, really good tight end out of the state of Texas, out of Southlake Carroll, a big program down there. Honestly, physically, [Dorselaer] is about as prepared to come in and play as a freshman as anybody, he's already 240-plus lbs. Then you add Brame, a different skillset. It's just big for (Vols tight ends coach) Alec Abeln to get his feet underneath him as a recruiter."

"If he can get Brame in the boat -- which, again, we all expect that to happen sooner rather than later," continued Price. "Probably after the War Room drops this week (which is late Thursday night) and before Tennessee's barbecue on Saturday...it's a big deal."

Brame, 6-foot-6/235 lbs from Derby, KS, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 5 tight end in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Kansas. He's also rated as the No. 112 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.

Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Adam Gorney actually predicted in late June that Brame would commit to Tennessee, but he instead committed to Oregon on June 29.

Brame's final official visit before announcing his commitment last month was to Oregon, which likely influenced his decision at the time.

This is just another example of how fluid recruiting can be. Early commitments aren't final and a lot can change before signing day. Fortunately for the Vols, it sounds like Brame changed his mind after initially committing to the Ducks.
