At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will approve next year's budget. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News the Council still wants public input on the City's spending and taxing plan. She says next year's budget is balanced, but the City faces a deficit the year after that, and the Council needs to know what citizens consider priorities.

Also at Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will look at an ordinance governing rental properties, such as Airbnb's, and nuisance parties. Mayor Wu says they want to hear from both renters and property owners.

Recently the Council postponed final action on a plan to bring paid parking to downtown Wichita. Mayor Wu says more public input is needed before a scheduled action on that plan, September 10th.

Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
