PITTSBURG, Kan (KOAM) - Graduate students from Pittsburg State University are helping pets up for adoption become obedient companions.

The students have helped train 15 dogs already this year.

All of the dogs students have worked with are up for adoption.

"I know a lot of people, they'll see like an older dog and they'll think oh I can't train that dog. We'll have dogs over a year old be trained here and we'll see progress with that. So, I say any dog can be trained no matter the age," said animal care specialist Maryrose Grimes.
