Its Apple Day at PSU: celebrating the universities first building

PITTSBURG, Kan. (KOAM) - Its Apple Day at Pittsburg State University (PSU), the event celebrates Pitt State's first president and the Pittsburg mayor getting funding from the Legislature in 1903 to build the university's first permanent building, Russ Hall.

Known to be the longest-running celebration in university history, but this year PSU says its "kicking it up a notch" with food trucks, ride mini carnival rides, a crimson and gold group photo in front of Russ Hall, and hosting DJ Dean Jon Bartlow.

The event is welcome to students, faculty/staff, and the community!

Open from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, on the Russ Hall Lawn.
