Report: KS, MO rank in the top 10 for best states for animals

(KOAM) -- In Missouri, 2.44M, or 64%, of households own at least one pet.

That's according to Pet Advocacy .

Animals depend on owners to take care of them; however, some states take better care of their animals compared to others.

To find out the best states for animals, SmileHub compared each of the 50 states and parts of the 4-States ranked in the top 10.

Top 10 best states for animals

1. Colorado
2. Oregon
3. Vermont
4. Indiana
5. Kansas
6. Missouri
7. Idaho
8. Tennessee
9. Florida
10. Nebraska

Oklahoma ranked number 16 and Arkansas ranked number 25 on the overall list.
