Slow Moving Cold Front Brings Rain for Most of Friday, Peaking in the Afternoon!

Finally seeing cooler temperatures and rain chances.

3 Day SPC Outlook:

• We have a very low risk for storms for the next couple of days.
• Tonight a frontal boundary approaches this evening, however, with a strong CAP, unlikely that any storms fire up in our area until Friday.
• Storms will likely hold off due to the slow moving cold front until Friday morning with highest chance of storms Friday after 3PM.

Estimated Rain Amounts:

• Most of the rainfall accumulation will be a tenth of an inch to a half.
• A couple of isolated areas further south and east could potentially receive up to 2 inches of rainfall.

Estimated Rain Times:

• We have isolated chances continuing through Thursday evening until Friday mid morning.
• Chances start to increase starting as early as 2PM and starting to taper off after 6PM, though isolated showers continue through Saturday.

Future Track:

• Isolated storms fire up along the cold front boundary early Friday morning.
• Rain chances continue for most of the day on Friday but peaking on Friday afternoon.

7 Day Forecast:

• After rain clears out, below average temperatures persist for labor day weekend.
• Another cooler air mass pushes in Sunday into Monday dropping temperatures even further for most of the week down to the lower 80s.
• A couple isolated chances for rain and storms pop up the later half of the week.
