Damascus man killed by semi-truck in North Portland identified

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) – Authorities have identified the man who was hit and killed by a semi-truck in North Portland on Aug. 15., according to police.

Officials say Kurt N. Jensen, 59, of Damascus had been walking near 300 N. Columbia Boulevard just before 10 a.m. when he was struck by the commercial vehicle.

He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police say.

The truck driver cooperated with police at the time of the crash, and no arrests were reported. Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to contact police.
