    NMSP finds stolen vehicles, makes arrest in Santa Fe

    SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police said they recovered two stolen vehicles and made an arrest in Santa Fe on Sunday. NMSP said at around 9 a.m. on Sunday, an officer found an unoccupied stolen vehicle on Hopewell St. While waiting for a tow truck, he then saw a blue SUV driving with a flat tire.

    The officer later found and followed the SUV which police said began to drive recklessly. NMSP said that the vehicle was stolen as well and officers had to use two PIT maneuvers to get it stopped. The driver was identified as 37-year-old Geronimo Vigil. He’s been charged with receiving a stolen vehicle and being a felon in possession of a gun among other charges.
