WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A new mural was unveiled at the Lynette Woodard Recreation Center in Wichita on Saturday.

KU legend Lynette Woodard, along with other Wichita natives who went on to have admirable athletic careers, were in attendance.

“It’s an amazing moment, and like I said, to be a part of history,” Taj Griffin, a Wichita native who played basketball at Oklahoma, said. “To be a part of something like this in the building that we’ve all pretty much, everybody that’s picked up a basketball, grew up in it, goes without saying, this is a special moment.”
