    Sen. Marshall to discuss Cheney Lake levels

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Sen. Roger Marshall will visit Wichita today to discuss water issues. He is hosting a roundtable on Cheney Lake water levels and the impact on Wichita.

    Representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Cheney Watershed District, UGS, and the City of Wichita will attend the roundtable at 1:30 p.m.

    Cheney Reservoir is seven feet lower than normal, and the conservation pool is about 61% full.

    The lake supplies water for Wichita. Wichita is currently in Stage 2 of the drought response pla n. All outdoor non-crucial watering for all water users is restricted to once a week.
