    One dead after crash involving semi in western Kansas

    GOVE COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – One man is dead after a crash involving a semi in western Kansas.

    It happened at 11:37 a.m. on Interstate 70 near Gove County Road AA.

    According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Ford Focus was driving eastbound while a semitruck was traveling westbound when, for an unknown reason, the Ford crossed the medium and struck the semi on the driver’s side. The Ford came to rest in the eastbound lane while the semi came to rest on the westbound shoulder.

    Two injured in Goddard crash Sunday morning

    The driver of the Ford, 34-year-old Fabian G. Hernandez Rios of Colby, was pronounced dead on scene.

    The driver of the semi, a 43-year-old man from Texas, was not injured.
