    Population 9: These are the least populated towns in Kansas

    KANSAS ( KSNT /KSNW) – Dotted among Kansas prairies and farm fields are over 700 cities and towns.

    While several large cities exist across the state, most Kansas communities have less than 1,000 residents. The U.S. Census Bureau tracks the populations of cities and incorporated places across the state.

    The smallest city in Kansas is Waldron City, located in Harper County.

    On the other hand, Wichita has the largest population in Kansas, with 369,119 residents. The State has a total population of 2.4 million, comparable to Houston, Texas.
