    Truck fire shuts down Auburn Road

    Update 7:58 a.m.: The sheriff’s office says the road has been cleared.

    TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office is warning motorists to find alternate routes after a truck fire prompted the closure of Auburn Road on Friday.

    The sheriff’s office was called to the 3800 block of Southwest Auburn Road around 7 a.m. due to a vehicle fire. The sheriff’s office recommended taking routes such as Southwest Indian Hills Road or Urish Road.
