Second man arrested in the shooting of a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A second man has been arrested in the shooting of a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper, authorities said. Trooper Adam Cothron stopped a Kia Forte driven by Timothy Davis Jr. on Interstate 40 on Friday. When he approached, Davis shot Cothron, critically wounding him, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a news release. The trooper remained hospitalized Tuesday, the agency said.
Princeton man facing numerous charges following pursuit
A Princeton man is facing numerous charges following a pursuit that began on Dawson Road in Caldwell County Monday that resulted in multiple agencies being involved. According to a news release from the Princeton Police Department, officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle operating at a high-rate of speed, but the driver reportedly failed to stop and fled down several streets.
2 juveniles, 2 adults arrested in connection with Reidland, Ky. burglary
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - Two juveniles and two adults were arrested in connection with a burglary investigation in western Kentucky. Dylan Morris, 19, of Benton; Josiah Pace, 21, of Paducah; a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male are facing charges of engaging in organized crime, third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools.
Calvert City Police Dept. Arrest Report
Calvert City, KY (July 22, 2024) – On July 15, 2024 an officer with the Calvert City Police Department observed a vehicle traveling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed on US 62. A traffic stop was initiated. Upon contact with the operator, it was discovered that he had a warrant. Matthew Kyle Smith II, 24, of Paducah was arrested on a Lyon County Warrant for failure to appear. He was also charged with speeding 20 mph over limit.
