1: Lundeen arrested after assault at state fair concert . Jaeger Lundeen appeared in Ward County court, where he’s being charged with aggravated assault. Lundeen is accused of stomping on a woman’s head as she was on the ground inside the grandstand.

2: Lake Sakakawea set to be new water source for the City of Minot in 2025 . Starting in late 2025, the City of Minot will be drawing its main water source from Lake Sakakawea. City water officials say North Dakota’s biggest lake is a better source due to its abundance of water. The move comes after years of diminishing groundwater caused by the lowering of aquifer levels in the Minot city wells.

3: Child injured in crash in Bismarck . A six-year-old was injured in a crash on State Street near the Heritage Center. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 28-year-old Bismarck man was driving a Chevy Trailblazer at a high speed south on State Street when he lost control and drove off the road.

4: One killed in three-vehicle DUI crash near Lisbon . A man was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries after a crash on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 6, and later succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, August 10. The woman responsible is now facing charges of Driving Under the Influence and Criminal Vehicular Homicide.

5: Fatal motorcycle crash near New Town . A man from Watford City died in a motorcycle crash near New Town around 12:05 a.m. on August 4. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the 55-year-old man was driving a Honda motorcycle west on Highway 23 when he lost control.
