    CSPD: Man causes thousands of dollars in property damage

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrested a man on Thursday, Aug. 28 after he caused damage estimated to be several thousand dollars.

    At approximately 9:45 p.m., CSPD officers received multiple calls about an individual damaging property in the area of West Colorado Avenue and South 31st Street. CSPD said at least five businesses and a passerby in her vehicle all reported a man throwing rocks into windows at random.

    Upon arrival, officers located and arrested the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Nicholas Cleek, in the 1400 block of West Colorado Avenue near West Cimarron Avenue.

    Cleek was arrested for felony criminal mischief and was booked into the El Paso Criminal Justice Center.
