NEXT 24 HRS: Eventually, the showers or areas of light rain diminish or pushes east of the area by midnight as the front moves through. Cloud cover will decrease after midnight, with mostly clear skies by sunrise.  Plenty of sunshine on Wednesday with high temperatures back into the 80s.

LOOKING AHEAD: Dry conditions return on Wednesday before another system impacts the area late Thursday and Friday, bringing showers and thunderstorms to the region. At this point, we are not anticipating an all-day rain event on Friday. It will be more of a cloudy and cool day with some showers as a low pressure sits right under the region. Most of the day will be just cloudy and cool. Although Saturday looks dry, a weak cold front digs south into the area Saturday night, resulting in more showers and thunderstorms through Tuesday. Rain chances/amounts look far lower than the previous one, and most of Monday and Tuesday look dry. Mainly dry with slightly below average high temperatures (upper 70s to low 80s) are expected for the rest of the work week.
