Two arrested in connection to 2023 child death in La Crosse

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- Two people were arrested on Wednesday in connection to a death of a child that occurred in 2023.

On Sept. 6, 2023, the La Crosse Police Department responded to a call regarding a child who was not breathing and was later found dead.

After investigating, 43-year-old Lavon Liggins and 34-year-old Brittany M. Basley were taken into custody Wednesday. Both are being charged with Neglecting a Child Causing Death.

According to LA Crosse PD, the case remains under investigation.
