Inspiration Stables hosts grand opening to celebrate new home
LA MOTTE, Iowa (KCRG) - On Sunday, an Eastern Iowa non profit is holding a grand opening for its new space. Inspiration Stables is an adaptive horseback riding program designed for children with special needs. Liz Grayson is the Director of Operations at Inspiration Stables. She says right now, they have six horses and some mini ponies helping more than 20 kids. “I’ve seen some, you know, amazing things. And I’ve worked in the upper levels of eventing and show jumping and things like that. And this work has been really rewarding in a much different way that just really warms, you know, your heart. It’s been more rewarding than, you know, getting a gold medal,” says Grayson.
Habitat Humanity for Dubuque and Jackson County Names Dalton New Executive Director
Habitat Humanity for Dubuque and Jackson County has announced the hiring of a new Executive Director. Hilary Dalton of Dubuque was recently appointed to the role. Dalton will lead the organization as it prepares to embark on the first Planned Unit Development built by Habitat for Humanity in the Dubuque area.
