More student loan borrows have successfully received debt relief through bankruptcy after the Biden administration made a policy change to make the process easier nearly two years ago, according to data released by the Department of Justice Wednesday.
Ackley City Council Discusses Nuisance Violation Rates and Fees
Last week, the Ackley City Council discussed nuisance violation rates and fees. Ackley Mayor, Michael Nuss, informed the council that in speaking with city attorney Seth Schroeder, the city is able to charge and invoice actual costs incurred for nuisance violation fees. When a property owner does not pay for the costs incurred, the city can assess the property owner. The council tabled any action on the matter until next month.
