Hit-and-Run in Lemon Grove Now a Homicide Probe After Victim From Spring Valley Dies, San Diego Sheriff’s Department Seeks Public's Help
An early morning hit-and-run in Lemon Grove has turned into a homicide investigation after 44-year-old Brian Colvin from Spring Valley succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies arrived on the scene in the 8300 block of Broadway at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Monday, where they found Colvin injured but conscious. He was transported to the hospital by paramedics but later died as a result of what the Medical Examiner’s Office determined to be blunt-force trauma. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has classified the manner of death as a homicide.
