Child was rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in South Buffalo
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A child was rushed to Oishei Children's Hospital after being struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in South Buffalo. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday at Seneca and Edson streets, just east of Cazenovia Park. The child, who a City of Buffalo spokesperson said is believed to be 10 or 11 years old, was rushed by ambulance to the hospital.

3 teens arrested on suspicion of breaking into vehicles in Orchard Park
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Three juveniles suspected of breaking into and stealing from vehicles were arrested overnight Orchard Park. Two of the teens arrested on Thursday were 16 years old, and the other was 14 years old. The arrests stemmed from a 12:13 a.m. complaint on Hidden Oak Court of people breaking into cars, Orchard Park Police said in a statement.

Convicted Felon Pleads Guilty to Assaulting His Defense Attorney
(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, NY – Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced that Londarr S. Ward, a 40-year-old resident of Buffalo, has pleaded guilty to one count of Assault in the Second Degree (Class “D” felony) before Acting Erie County Court Judge Carrie Phillips. Ward entered his plea ahead of a scheduled jury trial in August.
Injured Bald Eagle Rescued Near Angola
A New York State DEC officer recently provided a helping hand for a injured bald eagle in southern Erie County. Officer Ike Bobseine responded to a location along I-90 near Angola on June 19th and safely captured the injured bird with assistance from several state troopers who controlled traffic. According to the DEC, the immature female eagle was too large for the transport cage that Officer Bobseine had in his vehicle, so he improvised and secured the eagle by wrapping the bird in his ECO jacket during the trip to a licensed rehabilitator. The eagle was then transported to a local veterinarian for care.
Man arrested following disturbance call at an Amherst apartment complex
AMHERST, N.Y. — A Buffalo man faces multiple charges after police responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex. Amherst Police said they received a call around 5:45 p.m. Thursday about a loud party at an apartment complex off of Sweet Home Road. Officers who arrived at the scene said they witnesses more than 150 people around the pool area, "the majority of which were determined to not be residents of the complex," police said in a statement.
