One of LA’s First New-School Doughnut Shops Just Suddenly Closed
Blue Star Donuts, a craft doughnut shop from Portland, announced it was closing its Venice location effective immediately via Instagram on July 17. The social media post didn’t provide a reason for the closure and comments have been turned off. Blue Star opened on Abbot Kinney in 2015, along with a location in Silver Lake that closed in August 2022. Currently, there are no Blue Star locations in Los Angeles.
