Lafayette continues to expand with several new business and restaurants opening around town. Check out these new restaurants to enjoy brunch, lunch, or a cocktail in Lafayette Parish.

    HTeaO of Lafayette

Home to more than 25 flavors of fresh brewed iced tea, this Texas staple is more than just tea. It features a coffee menu, snacks and a secret menu with cotton candy flavored drinks, wedding cake and watermelon refresher drinks.

Using an in-house reverse-osmosis system, HTeaO’s teas are brewed fresh with the highest quality water to maintain consistency and taste, the Developing Lafayette website said. The hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant is at 1606 Kaliste Saloom Rd. in Lafayette. A drive-thru is also available.

    CAVA Mediterranean Restaurant

CAVA, a Mediterranean restaurant, is coming soon to 4220 Ambassador Caffery, Developing Lafayette's website said. CAVA currently has six Louisiana locations.

CAVA offers a selection of customizable bowls, salads, and pita sandwiches inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean region. The restaurant will occupy one of the two-tenant buildings designed by architect Trahan Architecture + Planning LLC, totaling about 5,000 square feet, called the Shoppes on Vermilion.

    SoLou

Serving food, drink and atmosphere inspired by south Louisiana, SoLou is open in Lafayette. Happy hour is 3 to 6 p.m. seven days a week. SoLou offers wine, beer and cocktails.

"We’re dedicated to ensuring every dish is crafted with passion and expertise. Our staff is excited and ready to provide you with an exceptional dining experience that truly captures the heart and soul of Louisiana," said an Instagram post. The menu features soups and salads, appetizers and brunch plates, such as chicken and waffles, steak and frites and shrimp and grits.

    The address is 1905 Kaliste Saloom Rd., Suite 101. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Renovations at Jet Coffee's fourth Lafayette location is underway at the former Johnston Street Java Space. The building is at 3123 Johnston St., next to the Grand 16 movie theater.

Jet Coffee has not announced the opening of the Johnston Street location. According to a Facebook post by Jet Coffee last July, after the owner of Johnston Street Java announced her retirement and the closure of the coffee shop, Jet Coffee is picking up where Johnston Street Java left off.

    Cube Smart Self-Storage

According to Developing Lafayette's website, the former Sears space at Acadiana Mall will soon be a CubeSmart self-storage facility. CubeSmart is a self-administered and self-managed real estate company focused on storage, service, solutions and development of self-storage facilities, the company's website said.

Their self-storage facilities are designed to offer affordable, easily accessible storage space for residential and commercial customers.
