LaGrange Police announce road closures for upcoming football season

LaGRANGE, Ga. ( WRBL ) — The school year is starting soon and with it comes high school football season and road closures in LaGrange.

According to the LaGrange Police Department, the section of Dallis Street between the intersection where Panther Way becomes Forrest Avenue and Elm Street will be closed during every high school football game.

Officials say the Dallis Street entrance and exit of the Callaway Auditorium parking lot will also be closed during these times. Attendees wanting to park in this area will be required to enter and exit the parking lot from Panther Way.

Additionally, the Callaway Stadium visitor’s side parking lot will be accessible only from the Forrest Avenue entrance. Car riders should be dropped off and picked up in the parking lot of the Department of Driver Services on Dallis Street.

Authorities also say “tailgating” is not permitted on the property of LaGrange College during any high school football game this season.
