According to ClickOrlando, former President Ronald Reagan initiated the holiday in 1984 and since then, it's become a day for ice cream lovers to relish discounts and free offerings. This year's hot spots include Dairy Queen, handing out free Dilly Bars with any purchase, and Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, halving prices on scoops for the afternoon.

The Orlando Cat Café, founded in 2016 by owner Sandra Cagan, was the first Cat Café to open in the state of Florida. Located at 532 Cagan Park Avenue, suite 201-203, Clermont, it partners with SPCA Florida to bring adorable cats to the cafe for adoption.
